Counterbalance Forklift Truck Training
The most common of all forklift trucks in use today across all workforces for materials handling operations is the counterbalance forklift truck. They come in a vast range of many sizes and capacities from small, manoeuvrable electric 3 wheelers of 1000kg capacity through to huge 50,000kg capacity diesel machines. The most common are 2,500kg capacity electric, diesel and LPG machines.

3-day experienced training course for up to 3 delegates -who have some but little experience on a counterbalance forklift truck
5-day novice training course for up to 3 delegates -who have no experience on a counterbalance forklift truck
Each delegate will be given a theoretical (multi-choice format) test to assess their job-related safety knowledge, pre-use and a practical test, upon successful completion a certificate of basic training will be awarded.
As an accredited training organisation, we can offer a certification either at a non-accredited level (known as in house) training which allows the delegates to use this training for your company only, or we can also offer a national photo ID certificate at a cost of £20.00 per person. This then enables the trainee to operate (with permission) anywhere in the UK. Their names and details are kept on a national database. The certificate is valid throughout the UK and will be recognised by both employment agencies and perspective employers.
When conducting training at customers’ premises we will require the following:
- An open area either indoors or outdoors
- Several pallets both empty and loaded
- The use of any racking if available
- A room in which to carry out the theory training.
All training is accredited via ITSSAR – Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register
Thanks Mike for the professional and constructive way you have organised both our management and drivers! The information and instruction you have supplied regarding our safety, procedures and responsibilities now ensures we are compliant and more efficient. We look forward to working with in the future.
Roy & Marianne Edwards,
Thanks to Ace Trainers we were booked onto a course with very little notice (thanks to a cancellation) at a very competitive price. The level of instruction was very thorough and our novice fork truck driver was very comfortable with the training. All round; extremely pleased with the service provided.
The course was tailored to our needs which was fantastic because we had one complete beginner, one person with a little experience and one person who just need a refresher. Even with these very different levels of experience the candidates found the course easy to understand. All candidates passed the course and the course which was fantastic. The tutors were friendly and very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this course and it was excellent value for money!
Thank you so much for your help today, you’ve been fantastically responsive and accommodating.
With being made redundant and with warehouse skills but not fork lift qualified, I attended a counter balance and reach fork lift truck operator course with Ace trainers at their training centre in Basingstoke. The instructors there, male and female were impressive and very professional. They are well knowledgeable in all subjects relating to fork lifting including Health and Safety regulations. Armed with my new/previous skills and knowledge gained from Acetrainers, I have landed a brilliant and dare I say, well paid warehouse management job. Thanks Mike and your instructors, you are the best. PS Will be sending my guys to you for training when they are due for renewal. 🙂 George Rater
