Here at Ace Trainers we are trying our hardest to return to normality. It is an extremely challenging time for everyone currently, and we must follow the set guidelines as set out by Public Health England and the HSE.
We are currently offering Remote Online Driver CPC that can be performed from home, therefore following the governments advice however still getting the essential knowledge and information thus needed for key workers such as HGV drivers.
Training of new operators is something Ace Trainers are unable to currently perform due to it not being reasonably practicable currently. This is because it poses such a threat of spreading the virus and would not be in line with the guidance set out by Public Health England and the H.S.E.
Key worker Operators who are looking to renew their current certificates in the form of a refresher, may wonder what steps should be taken in order for them to continue their essential duties. The H.S.E have released a statement regarding this issue.
“If requalification training cannot take place for reasons associated directly with coronavirus, such as
closure of training facilities, unavailability of trainers/assessors or by complying with other
government advice on isolation and social distancing, it may be reasonable and practicable to extend
the validity of current certificates by up to 3 months. “
Please email us at info@acetrainers.co.uk for further information regarding Key Workers and the renewal of certificates.
In these challenging times, it is important we all work together to get the country and industry back to the way that we previously had. Ace Trainers are always eager to assist and please do not hesitate to contact us.
