Scissor Lift Training
Scissor lifts are two of the most widely used pieces of equipment to get people working at height quickly and safely for everything from roofing repairs to tree surgery. We offer a range of accredited training courses on cherry pickers and boom lifts to HSE standards. From understanding the equipment to the many safety risks involved in using them, This industry recognised course ensures your operators keep you within the legislation of PUWER 98 and the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Successful delegates will be fully qualified to operate cherry pickers and platform boom lifts safely and professionally to industry recognised standards.
By the end of the course the operator should be able to:
•Site and operate machine safely in relation to task.
•Demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.
•Operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers manual and instructions and accepted good practice.
•Demonstrate an understanding for the need of Personal Protective Equipment.

As an accredited training organisation we can offer a National photo ID certificate for no additional cost. This then enables the Trainee to operate any machine (with permission) anywhere in the UK. Their names and details are kept on a National Operators Registration Scheme Database. The certificate is valid throughout the UK and will be recognised by both employment agencies and perspective employers.
*This is optional, and if employers prefer, we can supply in-house certificates, only allowing the candidates to operate for your company Only.*
All training is accredited via ITSSAR – Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register
This course may only be run at the customers premises and is not available at our training centre.
The service was excellent from point of contact all the way through to the actual training itself We will be using Ace Trainers again
Thank you very much for the training session Lin! It was great and we will be in contact for any more of our future needs
Thanks to Ace Trainers we were booked onto a course with very little notice (thanks to a cancellation) at a very competitive price. The level of instruction was very thorough and our novice fork truck driver was very comfortable with the training. All round; extremely pleased with the service provided.
“At Guest Express Transport we have 28 members of staff with approx. 4 that actually hold a national forklift certificate and the rest have a very good knowledge of fork truck driving. I decided to put one member through the instructors course with the view to have all staff members trained to the same level and a level that we as a company are satisfied with. I ended up doing the course myself and I am actually glad I did as it really does highlight the bad habits we all pick up over the years and dangers we put ourselves through every day without even realising!! But fortunately Zoe came in and changed all that within 5 days. I would recommend Ace Trainers for this as they were by far the best on price (I had 4 other quotes as a comparison) and like Guest Express Transport are a family run business and appreciate your business and did go the extra mile to make sure we / I was satisfied. I have now also booked our next 5 years of drivers CPC training, again at a very competitive price and will continue our relationship whenever I need professional people to train my staff to a professional level” In House Instructors Course – 07/01/2013
Hi , just a quick message to say that today we had Ryan take a course for 3 of our staff on counterbalance forklifts. The feedback I have received is that the course was delivered very professionally and a lot of new information was shared . Our on site training facilities were used to deliver the theory test which Ryan will now be familiar with . I would like to say we were impressed by Ryan and any further training we require within the Millcroft group we will contact you for a quote .
Very happy with the fork lift training delivered on site. I’d happily recommend Ace Trainers. Kevin Holden
I cannot thank you enough for your assistance and professionalism regarding an enquiry I made at the 11th hour so to speak. It is so refreshing to receive a prompt and professional service. I do wish you every success future as you deserve it. The level of training received was excellent. Thank you again.
JB, Facilities Manager
The course was tailored to our needs which was fantastic because we had one complete beginner, one person with a little experience and one person who just need a refresher. Even with these very different levels of experience the candidates found the course easy to understand. All candidates passed the course and the course which was fantastic. The tutors were friendly and very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this course and it was excellent value for money!
With being made redundant and with warehouse skills but not fork lift qualified, I attended a counter balance and reach fork lift truck operator course with Ace trainers at their training centre in Basingstoke. The instructors there, male and female were impressive and very professional. They are well knowledgeable in all subjects relating to fork lifting including Health and Safety regulations. Armed with my new/previous skills and knowledge gained from Acetrainers, I have landed a brilliant and dare I say, well paid warehouse management job. Thanks Mike and your instructors, you are the best. PS Will be sending my guys to you for training when they are due for renewal. George Rater
Thank you so much for your help today, you’ve been fantastically responsive and accommodating.
