
Before receiving certification on a counterbalanced forklift truck, there are 3 tests you must undergo.
Theoretical Test
The delegate will complete 25 questions based on what has been covered throughout the course.
this involves;
- 20 Multiple choice questions
- 5 Open questions
In order to pass you must get over 80% of the questions correct
Practical Skills Test
The delegate will complete a set course which includes both driving and Loading/Unloading techniques onto a racking system. This course is called a chicane.
You will be limited to a 35 point marking scheme, meaning you must get 35 or less points in order to receive a pass.
Pre-Use Inspection
A pre use inspection is a general look over of the truck to ensure it is free from any obvious defect and in good working order to operate on.
The delegate will be required to work through a Pre-Use check sheet and explain the main points that need to be checked for each component.
