Reach Truck Forklift Training in Hampshire

Here at ace trainers we provide many different training courses. One of those courses is for Reach Truck Forklifts. A reach truck is built with a extending mast which allows the operator to get extra length whilst retrieving or depositing pallets.

The reach truck is used in many warehouse operations and should only be used in this situation. Never should a reach truck be used outside as this can damage the trucks wheels and cause instability, therefore an accident.

Reach Trucks come under the D category, and there are 3 types of reach trucks you can be trained on.

D1 – Reach Truck 3-8m

The most used reach truck which allows operators to lift loads up to a maximum of 8 metres depending on the weight variation as specified on the rated capacity plate.

D2- Reach Truck 8m and above

This reach truck is adapted to lift further than 8m, unlike the D1 which is restricted to 8m. Useful for warehouses with high racking.

D3- A stand on reach truck.

A reach truck that has been adapted with a stand on operated system. Meaning the operator stands whilst operating, rather than sitting on a seat like the D1 and D2
