Cherry pickers and scissor lifts are two of the most common types of equipment used when working at height is necessary. To be able to ensure safe use it is vital that cherry picker training and/or scissor lift training is completed.

Even know they are both MEWPS if you want to be able to use both the cherry picker and scissor lift you must complete training courses on both machines. Each machine has its differences which must be known before operating either of the machines.
Wind speed plays a particularly important part when operating a cherry picker or scissor lift outside. The maximin wind speed that you can operate either of these machines is 28mph. One thing you must bear in mind is that the wind speed once the is raised in the air could be greater than the wind speed you have check on the ground. During our training courses you will learn about the beaufort wind scale which gives a description of the affects you will see at these speeds.
Capacity is also an especially important part to know. The capacity tells you what the maximum weight a cherry picker or scissor lift can take. This includes operator(s) and any tools needed.
During our training courses we conduct three tests to make sure the delegates are up to the correct level. These tests are:
