Here at ACE Trainers, we believe that the fundamental key to every business is its employees, their morale, wellbeing and most importantly the employees’ safety which comes down to several factors with the most fundamental aspect being training.
This is because not only will training allow employees to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, perform better, increase productivity and be better leaders. A company relies on what employees achieve individually; organizations should do everything in their power to ensure that employees perform at their peak. Training is also required to co-operate with the relevant legislation and laws depending on the type of course and Health & Safety requirements.
Part of this training we offer at Ace Trainers is refresher training, but what is refresher training? Refresher training is an aspect of retraining taken by a person already qualified or previously assessed as competent in a field with the intention of updating skills and/or knowledge to a changed standard or providing the opportunity to ensure that no important skills or knowledge have been lost due to lack of use.
Refresher training is also advised and recommended in the Approved Code of Practices (ACOP) and by the HSE which will enable your employees to remain current and competent. The ACOP and HSE also recommends that this training be conducted every 3-5 years for employees.
However, this recommendation of refresher training every 3-5 years can change and be reduced due to several factors –
Question:- Have not used trucks or machinery for some time.
Question:-Are occasional users.
Question:-Appear to have developed unsafe working practices.
Question:-Have had an accident or near-miss.
Question:-Have changed their working practices or environment.

At Ace Trainers we are delighted to offer several various refresher courses which we can provide on your company site, across the United Kingdom or at our COVID secure accredited training centre in Basingstoke.
