Many new forklifts have warning lights fitted on to them to separate pedestrians from the M.H.E itself. As shown in the image below, it emits a bright light to warn passers by that they should not be entering this area, otherwise they could be vulnerable to an accident.

These lights can be adjusted to any required distance and produces a bright LED arc or straight edge which prevents foot injuries and collisions. The light also shows a “no go” zone around any piece of Material Handling Equipment. These lights generally come in either red or blue, depending on choice.

Although these additions are not law, they are a extremely good idea for all forklift as it is yet another safe working method that can be followed in order to keep everyone on site safe.
