Counterbalance Forklift Training

Here at Ace Trainers, counterbalance forklift training is one of the many courses that we provide. We have multiple instructors readily available to train both experienced and unexperienced operators to a set standard via one of 3 accrediting bodies. This includes AITT, ITSSAR or BRITTOp.

A counterbalance forklift is the most used industrial forklift in warehousing operations, dock yards, stock distribution sites and many more. You can get many different variations of the counterbalance forklift, including B1, B2, B3 and B4.

B1Lift capacity up to and including 5 tonne. Commonly used in industrial sites and mainly used inside. Variations include electric, gas and diesel powered.

B2Lift capacity from 5 tonne up to and including 15 tonne. Commonly used on construction sites and dock operations, however can also be used for industrial purposes. Variations include electric, gas and diesel powered.

B3Lift capacity over 15 tonne. Most often used during dock operations, however can be used for a variety of operations that require extremely heavy lifts. Variation include electric, gas and diesel however electric B4’s are less common.

B4Lift capacity can vary, however usually deals with smaller lifts. Used in warehousing operations. Stand-on counterbalance. Electric powered.

It is important to understand the difference between each variation so that you can choose the correct machine for the job. Each variation requires separate training due to the differences between each truck. Despite all being counterbalances, there are many things that are altered as the lift capacity is raised.
